SunSmart Colouring & Video Challenge

Event Information

The SunSmart Poster and Video Challenge is a Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre initiative to further raise awareness about sun safety and promote creative health and environmental education for students ages 5-18, across Bermuda.

The deadline for entry submissions is Friday, May 15^th 2015 - art work will NOT be accepted after this date.

Original, hand-drawn posters on 8.5x11 paper (ages 5-12) and videos, maximum 1 minute long (ages 13-18) must illustrate at least five ways to prevent skin cancer and raise sun safety awareness. Videos must include original footage and music (if used).

Examples of prevention and awareness tips include:

• using sunscreen
• wearing sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat
• seeking shade between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun is most intense
• covering up with full-length clothing
• checking the UV Index
