Get your Middle or High school involved in this year’s Annual Breast Cancer Fun Walk.
We hope you will create a school team for the 2013 Annual Breast Cancer Fun Walk. The BF&M School Spirit Award is a fun way to get schools involved in friendly competition to benefit Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre. With this year’s BF&M School Spirit Award, we hope to raise breast cancer awareness amongst teenagers.
BF&M is proud to continue its support, by offering a $1,000 School Spirit Award to each of the top two Middle/Senior schools which raises the most pledges.
Teams are the driving force behind the Race. They not only contribute to the event’s spirit and sense of community, but also provide a significant source of revenue by raising large amounts of pledge dollars.
All funds raised during October will be used to support our charitable outreach initiatives which include our Equal Access Fund, Health Scholarships, and Educational and Awareness Programmes. Just imagine for every $166 raised an uninsured man or women can receive a mammogram at no cost to them!
To obtain a registration package for your school please contact Rhonda Smith-Simmons, Education Officer, Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre: Tel: 236-0949 or email: rsmith.simmons@chc.bm
Share these tips with your School’s team. Remind your team members of the importance of fundraising — encourage your students and staff to contact their friends and family to solicit donations. 100% of the Walk’s net proceeds go to fund programmes right here in our community.

Make it fun! Fundraising is much easier if you enjoy doing it so find ways to make it entertaining — for example, create friendly competitions, see who among your friends can raise the most.
