Women 38-42yrs are invited to visit with our highly experienced team of technologist and tour our Diagnostic Imaging Department to view what happens during a mammography exam.

• Mammography machines in motion – view the machines in motion and experience the compression with your hand (no x-rays/mammograms will be taken).
• Self-Breast Exams – do you know what you are looking for, using model breasts see if you can find the lump?
• Ask Questions:
  • At what age should I have my first mammogram and do I need one every year?
  • Can I reduce my risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer?
  • Screening vs. Diagnostic (Routine yearly check-up vs. investigative mammogram for symptoms)
  • What are the misconceptions about radiation exposure?
  • What happens next if something is found?

At Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, we aim to take stress and anxiety out of the traditional mammogram experience and provide you with peace of mind at every step of your process with us.
